In the life of a university -- something that we are (and a young one, at that) -- things happen. In El Dorado, Arkansas, someone whose name has escaped me (due to brain rot incited by this university) entered the military. He entered the LeTourneau Technical Institute in 1947 and got a B.A. in Machine Science. In 1950, he was employed by LeTourneau College as an instructor in Engineering Drawing. He left for a bit to get his doctorate, and came back in 1962.
Blah, blah, blah. My soul is so enlightened by this experience.
Eventually, then, after touring the United States, stuff happened.
Then the speaker started singing for no justifiable reason.
God has taught Mrs. Hardy several things that she is very thankful for, but due to the quality of this recording (and playback), I am unable to tell what that is. She just said something about "those three" being like sunshine, and I assume she is speaking about children, or friends.
It is very moving and emotional, I assume. I am truly sorry that I do not have proper empathy for her, but she is incomprehensible. She just said something about a boyfriend or girlfriend, or about wanting a car or money. I can safely assume that this is, then the message template in which the audience is reminded to rely on God. Just like nearly every other message! Hooray! Mediocrity and predictability are hallmarks of a quality institution.
Again, my apologies to the speaker. And it is true that if anyone in the audience is dealing with this issue right now, it will serve as a timely reminder and God will use it to "speak to" them. I recognize this as a valid divine technique.
And I have mild regrets that I am still unaffected.
