It is very important to remember church history; its one constant is that Jesus Christ calls each and every generation to reach its own generation. This has remained true, whether the generation at the time focused on the rational mind or the emotive.
Titus was aggressive. Timothy was timid. Paul put Timothy where he did because Timothy was of the generation they needed to reach. We are called of God to reach our generation.
